Adswitch Plc was incorporated in 1982 as a Switch gear division of Adtec Ltd, wholly owned and managed by its founder, Engr. Ajulu Uzodike. Adswitch Plc started commercial production of feeder pillars.

In 1983, Adswitch Ltd went into private placement with about 18 shareholders.

PRODUCTION OF OTHER PRODUCTS

From 1986, Adswitch Ltd ventured into other products such as fluorescent fittings, MCB Distribution Board, Car Running Boards, Venetian Blinds, Gate Lamps, and other industrial products such as Busbar Chambers, Low Voltage Switch Panels.

NIGERIAN STOCK MARKET

In 1989, Adswitch Plc was publicly quoted with the Second-Tier Securities Market of the Nigerian Stock Exchange and had about 3,600 shareholders. This consequently led to the change of the name from Adswitch Ltd to Adswitch Plc.

DE-REGULATION OF POWER SECTOR

From 2012, due to deregulation of power sector, poor patronage from government and influx of imported switchgears in the country, it became very difficult to run the company which led to disengagement of most of her staff. In 2016, it was delisted from Nigeria Stock Exchange

NEW PHASE

In 2020, Cutix Plc (a sister company to Adswitch) bought over and acquired the company and is now being run and managed by Cutix Board of Directors and and acquired the company and company now became a subsidiary of Cutix Plc with Engr. Matthias Umego as the Board Chairman, Mrs. Ijeoma Oduonye as the Managing Director and Engr. Stanley C. HEADE OFFICE AND BRANCHES

Adswitch as a branch of Cutix Plc has its headquarter in Nnewi and her products at all Cutix sales outlets and Distributor's offices in Aba, Abuja, Enugu, Lagos, Obosi, Portharcourt and Uyo.
